Two Blues Jam/Borough items for your consideration:
1) The 2nd annual "Tour de Pool" bike race will take place on Saturday, June 20th @ 1:30 p.m., just before the Blues Jam starts. This is a 10 lap Mountain Bike criterium race through the park and around the pool filled with swimmers. Anyone interested in participating should e-mail me at vince@bierysport.com to pre-register at a cost of $15 or register day of event for $20. There will be cash prizes donated by Biery's Port Bodyworks for the first thru fourth finishers and merchandise prizes donated by Allentown Bike Line available for the fifth thru tenth finishers.
2) Penn Skate will be hosting a skateboarding contest for children at the Catty skate park the same day at 3:00. The winners of the contest will compete with other skatepark winners from other area skateparks over a two month period. This is a fun and free event designed to promote skateboarding as good mental and physical exercise for children. Penn Skate will be giving out prizes for all the children.
